During the summer of 2022, LYSB collaborated with The Hamburg Fair to commission a song from Steve Roslonek’s SteveSongs, the host of PBSKids.  Local youth met with Steve at LYSB to brainstorm and write the song during the week preceding the Fair.  The kids included their favorite rides, foods, and memories of the beloved Hamburg Fair, which had been cancelled for two summers during the pandemic.  The program culminated on Saturday during the Fair when the kids, wearing their Fair tshirts, performed their song with Steve on stage before a packed crowd of smiling family, friends, and fairgoers under the tent.  Congratulations to our young songwriters who created something very special that will be celebrated and performed for years to come. SteveSongs will be performing this year on Saturday, August 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fair, along with LYSB kids. See you at The Fair!!
